Hi r/hackintosh!
So I have a situation which I cannot seem to find help for, and therefore I have decided to ask here.
Situation: I have a hard drive from a MacBook Pro Mid 2012. I have connected the custom hard drive to my custom PC by SATA cable. It is recognised in my Linux and Windows boxes on that system.
Problem: I have attempted Virtualizing the Mac OS X from Virtualbox and a raw vmdk disk. It boots up to a certain point in verbose mode, then gives an error 🚫 symbol overlay. In other words, it won't boot.
I have attempted Clover. Although I haven't configured Clover, I have booted into Clover successfully. It recognised my Mac OS X hard drive, but upon selecting it, the system black screens and crashes soon after.
A fresh install of OS X is not an option for me, as the point is to preserve the system on the hard drive and use it.
I have access to a Mac if necessary.
TLDR: Mac OS X on an existing hard drive. How can I run it on my custom PC?
