Upgrade Hackintosh and FileVault support?

Is it safe to upgrade my Hackintosh to 10.14.5 via the App Store, and how do I do that? Are there any special things I need to do with Clover?

Also - if I enable FileVault and boot from FileVault prebooter will that work or do I need some EFI drivers or something?
