Dual Boot with iGPU (macOS) and dGPU (Win10): Automatically use best GPU for each OS?

Hi fellow Hackintoshers

I just very successfully built my first Vanilla Hackintosh thanks to /u/corpnewt and his Vanilla Guide as well as this awesome subreddit. Before that I used Uni-/Multibeast approaches exclusively. With the fresh Vanilla install everything is working smoothly and I really couldn’t be happier!

I am currently running 10.14.4 and using the internal UHD630 graphics (full specs at bottom of post). Since I do game frequently on Win10 I am wondering if I can set up some kind of automation like this:

  • When booting into Mojave -> use iGPU (UHD630) and ignore/disable my dGPU (RTX2070)
  • booting into Win10 -> use dGPU (RTX 2070)

What I have found so far is that I can disable the dGPU with a config.plist fix (under Device Properties). Is that enough to have this kind of automatic scan? Ideally I would turn on my PC, select the OS I want to boot and just switch the input on my screen (HDMI for macOS or DP for Windows).

Current Setup

  • Asus Z370-P II
  • Intel i7-8700k @ Stock Speed
  • Intel UHD630 Graphics for macOS via HDMI
  • RTX 2070 8GB for Gaming on Windows via DisplayPort
  • 2x Samsung 830 Evo SSD for Dual Boot

Thank you all for your input on this and ideas how to work this out if possible :) Cheers!
