Everything seems to be working well and luckily I haven't had to do any further configuration from the above guide for things to be working! I only have a minimal understanding of how everything works, and I can't seem to find any clear information anywhere in an easy to understand way.
The biggest issue I have is an issue with audio. At first, there was an issue with a crackling sound. Changing the sample rate to 44.1 kHz in the audio manager fixed this, however when I go to adjust the audio through the GUI audio slider (My keyboard doesn't have audio buttons), the audio cuts out completely until I restart the computer.
This can probably be solved with installing Kexts, which to my understanding are Mac's equivalent of drivers? I have a feeling there will be more kexts to install as well to fix issues I'm not aware of yet, like any compatibility or inefficiency issues. I remember reading something about GPU acceleration issues somewhere being solved with Kexts?
Speaking of updating, my OS version is currently 10.14.1. Should I update to the most recent version incrementally through each version, or can I skip ahead to the most recent? What is the best workflow to do this?
Also, how is Clover meant to be used? Right now I can only boot into Mac if I boot with my Clover USB. Is it normal to have Clover on a USB and only boot from that, or is there a better way? Additionally, if I want to boot into Windows, I cannot actually do so from Clover, however it does seem to have options to "Boot into Windows", which do not work. Both of my Mac and Windows drives aren't actually listed in the boot order in the BIOS, however if I manually select a drive to boot from, I can select my Windows drive and boot into Windows fine. If I select my Mac drive from the Bios to boot into directly, skipping Clover, it does not work. Is there settings I need to change from my BIOS to allow this? Or is it all within Clover?
To summarize: what are the next steps I should take after installing the OS successfully? How do I install Kexts and how do I know which ones I need for my computer? What is a workflow I should follow to go about updating my OS? And how can I use Clover to dual boot alongside Windows easily?
