Support for Macmini6,2

I just picked up a late 2012 Mac mini (Came up as server?) machine and, have been trying to upgrade the OS. It has a core I7 / 256 GB SSD which seems to run pretty good, beside it having Mavericks. Tried to do a regular upgrade in the apple store, as people say it will let you install Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-catalina-on-supported-pc.html'>Catalina but, it doesn't show up. First tried to follow a video on installing OCLP but, it was saying I needed to install an OS I can't remember the name of, before it would work.

Then tried to use the 'macOS Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-catalina-on-supported-pc.html'>Catalina Patcher' but soon realized it says it's not compatible with my mac mini. Has anyone been able to get OCLP to work properly on Mavericks? The website says it's working with the Macmini6,2 but I can't figure out what to do. I tried the latest version of the program. Should I maybe try an older version of the OCLP installer? This is my first time trying this on an actual mac and it's very frustrating, and I can't figure it out. Don't want to give up on it, just don't know what else to do.
