Is it worth attempting to turn my HP Envy Laptop into a hackintosh?

I have no experience with creating a Hackintosh build. I've read so far that all the parts matter to whether or not it will boot or not and have issues with the display, sound, WiFi, etc. So far I only have a macOS Success' href='/2020/12/install-macos-mojave-on-supported-pc.html'>Mojave running in VMWare with iMessage working. To get iMessage working I followed a guide using clover to spoof the serials and all that, but I had to call Apple Support to have it activated with no problems. So I'm just wondering if someone could look at the specs of my laptop and let me know if it would be worth attempting, because the VM is just too slow. It's an HP ENVY 17 j130us. Specs:

  • 2.4GHz 4th generation Intel Core i7-4700MQ
  • 12GB DDR3L SDRAM (2 DIMM)
  • Intel HD graphics 4600
  • 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN (RJ-45 connector)
  • Intel 1x1 802.11ac WLAN (even if wifi doesn't work I can use a spare router as a wireless client and Ethernet)
  • 1TB HDD + 120GB SSD
  • 17.3 inch display (1600 x 900)

I also use a USB keyboard and mouse anyway so it's fine if the the built-in ones don't work, as long as the USB ports do. Do you think it is worth attempting? What's the worst case scenario if it doesn't boot, could I just easily go back to Windows? I currently dual boot Windows and Linux Mint. Is "triple boot" possible? I'm not really asking to be spoonfed, just if anyone with more experience can suggest if this is worth it. Thanks.
