Hi there! I’ve installed Sonoma on 2014 MacBook Air A1466 with 1.3Ghz CPU and 8Gb of RAM (most part of them with 4Gb). It was at first I was installing it :)
I guess laptop works pretty well. Safari opens all sites (it was impossible on 10.9.5). There is no freezes in Safari, YouTube 720p in full screen.
However, there are a few I don’t like at this moment.
I’ve seen on YouTube that I can hide source choice before loading. But guy on video said it doesn’t works on his machine (I guess 2016-2017 mbp with OCLP 1.5) and it doesn’t work on mine with OCLP 2.0.2. I’m turning it off, or set 0 seconds. But it doesn’t save settings…
System settings are pretty slow. Click on some tab needs a few seconds to load settings list. I understand that it wouldn’t most popular app on this laptop. But it makes me a little angry. Works almost like my old iPad Mini 3 :)
What do you think? Can I make this machine a little faster and save that settings? Or should I install Ventura to get this machine faster?
Thank you for your answers!
