I decided a few weeks back to create a Hackintosh with an old laptop i have.
I started with mountain lion because it was roughly the same age as the laptop. After learning to patch the framebuffers and get the video working properly i decided to upgrade to a newer OS. High Sierra. This was because i read that with anything newer i would have issues with my onboard video gpu.
Well the transition has been less then smooth. I got my ass banned after 1 post at Tonys for stating i had used a niresh version of Mountain Lion.....my bad. Then i signed up at insainlymac and have been really disappointed in the help provided there....practically nothing. I have read and read and read. Tried a few things but im not able to fix my video issues.
I have setup a triboot macOS,Ubuntu,Win10. All 3 will boot. I've dumped my Dsdt tables under Ubuntu but havn't patched anything.
My main issue is the display on my laptop Monitor. I can not get past a black Screen.
I have installed Latest Lilu and Whatevergreen (debug). I've checked the logs and got the auto connector info
I've dumped my vbios and got the connector info and all my connectors seem correct except for the LVDS connector.
I've tried to use an SSDT to correct the issue but im not doing something right even though clover says the SSDT is being loaded.
I have full acceleration on a VGA monitor and Whatevergreen is properly detecting my video gpu but i cant get the laptop monitor to work. Its backlit and coupled with the autoconnector logs, leads me to believe its a connector issue.
I can provide more info as far as my setup if someone is willing to help. I would really appreciate it.
