Onyx (4.8) Has Ruined My 2015 MacBook Pro Running Sequoia (15.5)

So I've been running macOS 15.5 on my 2015 MBP for almost a month now, and aside from a few hiccups, it has been great. All my previously installed apps have worked, including those updated for Sequoia.

But I decided to run Onyx as semi-regularly do, and was prompted to run an update, which I did. Installed v4.8 then ran it like usual, and after a reboot... my Mac is a mess.

The visuals are totally broken; wallpaper didn't launch, there is a black background in the dock, and the Finder windows are also all black. The gesture one uses to evoke all apps via an overlay (I forget what its called) takes forever, and drilling into a sub folder just causes it to freeze.

The biggest issue is everything has slowed down to an absolute crawl, making the Mac legit useless (I am posting this via my PC). So yeah... don't use the latest version of Onyx. Am going to try emailing the devs, not that I think it's going to do anything. And then get a new Mac I guess, lulz.
