Workaround: Apple Music skipping tracks when using bluetooth audio

Not sure if this is mackintosh specific or not, but if your Apple Music is skipping tracks whenever you are connected to a bluetooth audio output:

  1. In apple music > preferences > playback, uncheck lossless audio and dolby atmos. (These will cause more skipping due to DRM issues.)
  2. Open Audio MIDI Setup, click the (+) and select create Multi Output Device.
  3. Name the new device as you wish, then enable your bluetooth device in the audio device list
  4. Select the new output in control centre or settings and Apple Music won't skip tracks anymore.

\You won't be able to use mac volume keys/ slider to control the output, you will have to use the device volume buttons.*
