Hopefully someone can help me make a decision. Do I get a xps or similar laptop for a hackintosh or do I just get a M1 MacBook Air?
The one things pushing me away from the Mac is the screen and style, the bezels disgust me. As well as the fact that M1 chips cannot be dual booted and therefore I’m limited with windows not being supported. I’m also worried 256gb and 8gb ram won’t be enough after long term use of the device.
Is it worth getting a m1 air and using parallels if I need windows or would it be cheaper to just dual boot an older laptop. I will only be using mac OS X for light browsing, programming etc as I have a dedicated windows desktop for rendering and gaming.
The question probably is often asked now that MacBooks are relatively cost efficient and if I’m spending around or just below is it worth shelling out the extra for macbook.
