I've spent a lot of time on this project of mine. I really enjoy doing this kind of stuff and learning what makes a computer tick. Any help that I can get, I truly will be so grateful!
- CPU: Intel Core i7-8750
- GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070 max q
- RAM: 32 GB
- Motherboard/Laptop model: HM370 / MSI GS65 8RF Stealth
- Audio Codec: Nahimic Audio
- Ethernet Card: Killer N1550 Combo (2*2 ac)
- Wifi/BT Card: Killer Gaming Network E2500
- What guide/tool followed: OpenCore Install Guide
- What part I got an issue with: I am having difficulty with installing the MacOS onto my harddrive. First I tried BigSur, and the problem was that when it went to restart at the 12 minute marker it would freeze. I left it for several hours with no luck. I researched a bunch online and it seems that people were saying to start at Catalina and then you can upgrade to BigSur later.
> I made a Catalina flash drive with all the EFI ready as well.
>Boot into the flash drive, reformat the partition that I've given MacOS to use. AFPS file system.
> I start the installer, it hangs at about the two minute mark with "An error occurred validating the
installer data. The download is either damaged or incomplete."
> I've tried using both the files that were given from the script in the guide, and also from the mac app store. No luck.
