I've an older HP EliteBook 2560P. I used dosdude1's patcher to make a compatible installer, and patch the legacy bits of my system (non-metal HD3000, WiFi, etc), but what's different this time around is that I'm having real trouble getting a usable 1366x768 desktop resolution. System will boot to login screen and then go black.
I can close lid, getting it to go to sleep, and the screen will come back long enough for me to enter a password upon waking, and then black out again.
If I fiddle with the Clover injection, I can spoof a projector display, and have a working 1024x768, but it of course looks janky as heck.
I appreciate any tips, suggestions, or help you fine folks can provide.
