Big Sur Ryzentosh just installed - have lag when importing photos that ends in system restart

Hello,

I made a ryzentosh and installed it with the vanilla OC guide using 0.6.5 version. I thought I had it all working OK until I tried to import some photos into the photos app. When the Photos app displays uploading the system slows to a crawl and eventually will reboot. On reboot everything is fine unless I try to use the Photos app again. Can anyone give me a little help on what to do about this?
