MacBook Pro 13 to hackintosh

Hey all,

I have a MacBook Pro 13” 2020 model for work. It is slow and the fan is constantly spinning hot when running video conf and a 4K monitor

So I want to build an intel NUC hackintosh.

Since this is a work MacBook with all the apps and config to allow remote work... can I easily (somewhat) clone my current MacBook drive to a new hackintosh build on the NUC?

Why would I want to change serial numbers? What gotchas should I look out for?

I assume the process would be: - clone MacBook Pro drive - build hackintosh NUC with Catalina - ensure working hackintosh - copy new hackintosh EFI - dump MacBook image onto hackintosh drive - dump new hackintosh EFI back on to drive

Thanks for the tips :)
