I am running Mac OS Big Sur on VMWare Workstation 15 trying to update Xcode and the download speed seems to be getting exponentially slower as time passes. I am getting speeds exceeding 100 mbps in Safari but for some reason the App store is unbearably slow... I'm getting maybe around 100 kbps at this point... When the 11GB download started, around 25% was completed in a couple of minutes then the speed dropped off massively. Does anyone have an idea as to what the issue may be?
