AMD or Intel for Docker?

Hi everyone. I am thinking of building a Hackintosh but since I work with Docker I am considering building Intel. Is there any possibility to run Docker in a VM with VirtualBox from an AMD processor? Since the differences between an AMD and an Intel processor are great. Better performance per watt, cheaper, among other things.
