Trouble updating from working Sierra to High Sierra

• RAM: 16GB DDR3 1600Mhz
• Motherboard/Laptop model: Asus H87M-E
• Screen(s) Number: 1 Screen(s)
• Resolution: 1920x1080
• Audio Codec: External Interface (Focusrite Scarlett)
• Ethernet Card: Realtek RTL8168G
• Wifi/BT Card: Atheros 9380

To upgrade from a fully working Sierra to High Sierra

What part I got an issue with:

Everything works until step 6. When I choose the Boot macOS Install option in clover, it shows the apple logo, and as soon as the progress bar appears, the system reboots.

If I let that happen 5 or 6 times, it shows a forbidden sign and then wants me to press any key to continue but my keyboard doesn't seem to work.

Luckily I can still boot to Sierra and I get the following report after login:

My Hackintosh build has been working flawlessly for a few years but I need to use some software that isn't supported with Sierra. Any help is appreciated.
