Success! I installed OS X 10.15.6 using OpenCore. Problem: Now it will boot fine but system freezes and audio cuts off 2 minutes in. NUC7i7BNH

OpenCore 0.6.0, OS X 10.15.6 (installed via 1 GB recovery USB)

ACPI: SSDT-EC, SSDT-PLUG, SSDT-PMC.

Kexts: CPUFriend, CPUFriendDataProvider (3x100 MHz, 0x40 Priority), IntelMausi, itlwm_v1.0.0, Lilu, NVMeFix, SMCProcessor, SMCSuperIO, USBInjectAll, VirtualSMC, WhateverGreen.

  • CPU: i7-7567U
  • GPU: Intel Iris 650 (config.plist renames it in Device Properties for verification purposes)
  • RAM: 2x KVR24S17S8/8 (Kingston ValueRAM 16GB)
  • Motherboard/Laptop model: Intel NUC7i7BNH
  • Audio Codec: USB Audio Card (Auto Loaded - Scarlett 2i2)
  • HDD: Sandisk Ultra II 240 GB SSD
  • Ethernet Card: IntelMausi.kext
  • Wifi/BT Card: itlwm_1.0.0.kext
  • What guide/tool followed: Dortania using DSDTTool to make ACPI files.
  1. Followed guide for Desktop Kaby Lake. Laptop Kaby Lake plist guide results in system disappearing from the HDMI output device after bootloader passes system to OS.
  2. Performed several clean installs to try to integrate some settings from Laptop Kaby Lake, but everything outside of Desktop Kaby Lake spec fails. Also, helloo CPUFriend&/Friend! It hasn't fixed the issue, but it seems to run ok! It's got the minimum CPU frequency set to 100 MHz, and has a priority of Balanced Performance 0x40.
  3. Followed and integrated this successful build by /u/ithakaa, which still freezes ~2 minutes in. Please note that the EFI I have uploaded (found below) is basically at this step. It still works.
  • What part I got an issue with: Sorry, no photos as there is really nothing to show. Let me know if something could help. About 2 minutes in, OS freezes and audio cuts out. HDMI continues to be displayed. If I switch inputs to DisplayPort and back, HDMI output device no longer detects the system.
  • What files/config I am using: [1] NUC7i7BNH EFI [2] config.plist
  • Extra Info: [1] K6GnD3cgNGvFkvjlA7o8lyDE3qKEk9XDf2OpAgMJZTo

disclaimers: I am using itlwm_1.0.0 fine on another system. FakeSMC is on my next to-do list. Will update with an edit.
