Install stuck during verbose log at "Failed to bootstrap path"

First, the hardware:

• CTL Cbx-1
• i7-8550u
• Running MrChromeBox's UEFI firmware
• 8gb ddr4
• 128gb m.2 sata ssd

Got my installer usb to boot pretty far into the verbose output but it gets stuck at the point in the attached image. Anybody have any ideas what it may be?
