Audio ✔ Ethernet ✔ Graphics ✔ App Store ✔ ✔ USB with 2.0, 3.0, 3.1 and USB Type-C Ports ✔ Bootloader ✔ Volume Hotkeys ✔ External Display via Display Port 1.4 ✔ Optical Audio ✔ Time Machine ✔ dual boot with Windows 10 on the same SSD

Bluetooth :- This aspect is a bit tricky, after injecting the Intel kext (https://github.com/OpenIntelWireless/IntelBluetoothFirmware/releases/tag/1.1.2), I did get BT working but only my wireless headphones work flawlessly where as Apple Magic Mouse works once in a blue moon and mostly keeps on disconnecting/reconnecting.

Dual boot with Windows 10 on the same SSD

.1 I first created an Open Core bootable drive on a Windows 10.

  1. Installed Mac OS Catalina by formatting the SSD completely, wiping off Windows 10.

  2. Created a Windows partition from MAC Disk utility with format as MS-dos (fat)

  3. Installed Windows 10 from a USB bootable drive.

  4. BIOS settings :- default bios settings, no changes done.

  5. No boot camp drivers installed.

Conclusion

Took me almost 10-12 days to get it right for my system. With zero background in any kind of coding or programming. Once you get the hang of it then the creation of the bootable USB does not take more than 5 mins.

Quite happy with this build. Mac OS runs like how it would natively run on an Apple machine.

Was able to edit images on Adobe LR, PS and videos on PP.

Have accordingly configured my 3rd party mouse and keyboard for Mac.
