Looking to do my First Hackintosh — and it’s AMD

Hey all, (not Scott here.)

I’ve been lurking about the subreddit for some time now and finally cracked and decided to hack ... intosh. I figured I’d give it a go with a new build I’m preparing based around an AMD processor. I already have some of the parts, but was wondering if anyone sees any major problems with my current build plans. Any parts that are a notable PITA? Crossing my fingers that (even with AMD) it’s decently smooth sailing, but ready to troubleshoot when that time comes too.

My Current Build Plans: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/JefferyT51/saved/

My Current Parts that I own: - Case: Big Chungus Coolermaster Case. Ordered for it’s small size, but got it the other day and it was not. Nonetheless, happy to work with it. Pretty nice accessible design with “test-bench” options. - GPU: XFX RX 590 Fatboy OC+. Long title, but not to be confused with the Super Ultra Remix Hyper Edition EX Plus Alpha Version of the GPU (/s). - SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 1tb - HDD: 4 tb WD Blue - Optical Drive: LG Drive that’s Combo Blu-ray, CD, DVD, and... wait for it... HDDVD. What a useful feature (I got it free on an older build donated to me). Understandable if it’s CD or DVD only or something, but would be cool to have Blu-ray features— though if the Hackintosh supports the HDDVD part, I’ll probably be concerned.

So, are my current parts ok? And are my additional plans in the PCpartpicker link looking ok? I know a lot of this is trial and error, but figured I’d ask the community in case someone sees some sort of “red flag” item in my parts list.

Thanks in advance for any help!
