5700XT - 3900X (new case with PCIE riser issue?)

Mind boggling, can't figure out what's up, perhaps a fresh pair of eyes might find it.
A bit of intro:

opencore 0.6.0 - here's my plist

ASRock X570 ITX/TB3 (BIOS 2.30)
3900x
sapphire nitro+ 5700 XT
bcm94360cd ngff m2 adapter,

I had a perfect hackintosh using the setup above with the exception of
Instead of MacPro7,1, I had iMacPro1,1. This worked perfectly until I changed cases!

I went from a DS Streacom to an NZXT H1, so differences now included water pump connector, front panel usb connector, audioHD connector. As soon I see the login screen, I can maybe quickly type my password, I see the desktop. Sometimes it freezes whilst typing my password.
The furthest I've been was to manage to quickly quit my VPN app and some other login items that were launching.

Needless to say, I've tried a few things.. I've read that changing SMBIOS to MacPro7,1 will be better for my 5700XT. This is in my current plist and it has yielded no benefit

My motherboard has no option for Above 4g decoding so I went ahead with the following

boot-args -v keepsyms=1 debug=0x100 alcid=1 npci=0x2000 agdpmod=pikera

Now I'm thinking it might be the PCIE Riser that connects my 5700XT? Got no way to test that so wondering if someone went through something similar.
