The last few parts for my threadripper hackintosh are arriving tomorrow so I’ve been reading up on the install guide. I’m a bit confused as to how to set up my SSDT’s. As far as I can tell I only need the embedded controller fix: SSDT-EC-USBX, and that i should create my own as the prebuilt one is a bit bloated. My question is, do i need to boot linux on my machine so i can run SSDTTime before I can create my opencore usb? It seems like there is a way to dump the DSDT with opencore but the drive needs to be bootable first? Isn’t that kind of a paradox or am i missing something? If i could dump the DSDT without having to boot windows or linux first that’d be a huge plus. Thanks for any help.
