OPEN CORE HELP: GIGABYTE Z390 Catalina Build

I just built my first hackintosh! However, I'm having a bit of trouble with some quirks here and there. I used OpenCore 0.5.6 running 10.15.3, following exactly this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeYjYPr8QUs&

SPECS: CPU: i7-9700k (9th Gen) MB: GIGABYTE Z390 DESIGNARE RAM: 32GB Corsair LPX GPU: XFX Radeon RX 580 OSX: Catalina 10.15.3 Inquiries: 1. I have thunderbolt 3 built into my MB. However, it says "no hardware was found" in the System Report.

  1. I have an 8-core CPU but my cinebench result only shows 4 cores. I feel like my computer is being throttled? I used the SMBios and changed it from iMac18,3 (like instructed in the video) TO iMac19,1. Little improvement but not much...I tried going to a macpro7,1 to see how far I can push it but that disabled my bluetooth card and USB2.0 slots as well. What's the best way to utilize my hardware in this case?

  2. How do I update my machine going forward as new OS is released or even to update to 10.15.4 or 10.15.5? I couldn't find a straight and clear answer online for some reason.

Thanks in advance!
