Laptop in Clamshell mode doesn't see external monitor after sleeping (OpenCore, i7-7500u, HD 620)

I have a Hackintosh laptop with a minor issue.

Specs:

Dell Inspiron 5378

i7-7500U

Intel HD 620 Integrated Graphics

Generic SSD

8GB DDR4

Catalina

I use this laptop in clamshell mode (lid closed, power cable connected) with two monitors connected.

• One monitor connected over USB 3.0 using a DisplayLink dock (note: this is NOT USB-C - this monitor is NOT directly hooked into the iGPU).
• One monitor connected over HDMI

When I hit the power button to wake from sleep, the laptop seems to not detect the monitor connected to the HDMI port. Only the USB 3.0 monitor turns on.

If I unplug and replug the HDMI monitor, it is immediately detected and everything works fine.

Anyone know why I would need to reconnect the monitor after sleep?
