Is NUC still a good choice for now?

Should I buy a NUC8 or NUC10 as a transition and wait for stable(maybe wait for the 2nd gen) Apple Silicon based Mac products?

Or maybe just buy nothing now and wait for the 1st gen Apple Silicon products?
