Kexts in EFI or L/E

Yes I know, there is much discussion about wether to install Kexts into the Other folder on the EFI or into Library/Extensions. Some say that L/E is the right place because it is the normal way to load/cache Kexts by macOS and others say that it isn’t because injecting them via the EFI prevents (for example) breaking when updating and makes Troubleshooting easier (I guess).

After some serious problems with my Hackintosh I decided to put them into the EFI. I had them (some even duplicated) in my Extensions folder and forgot to recache them and then booting failed.

What do you do and what would you say - EFI or L/E and, most importantly, why?
