Are these steps correct for adding Windows 10 as a dual boot option on a separate SSD?

I'm already running Mojave as my primary OS on SSD 1, but now need to be able to dual boot Windows from SSD 2. I want to double check that I'm doing everything correctly:

  1. Create the USB using Rufus or another tool to ensure Windows installer will be UEFI (not Legacy)
  2. Install Windows onto second SSD just as you normally install
  3. Set boot priority to the SSD with Mac OS/Clover installed, and it will automatically detect Windows as a boot option

Does this seem correct? Additionally, I've read in some cases I need to unplug the Mac OS SSD when installing Windows, is this actually the case? (It's quite an ordeal for me to get access to the SSD and unplug, so I'd like to avoid it if possible.)
