I am having real trouble doing a direct upgrade from Mojave to Catalina (vanilla install) as it hangs on a screen with garbled text and a stop sign when trying to boot (identical to this user's error).
So I was planning on doing a completely fresh install instead and then using Migration Assistant to transfer all my apps/settings back from the Time Machine backup of my working Mojave install.
Is this likely to work or do Hackintoshes have issues with Migration Assistant?
Motherboard: ASUS PRIME Z270-A
CPU: i7700k
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 630 (cpu's graphic chip)
Desktop (not laptop)
