Recently built a Hackintosh for, among other things, photo editing.
I was surprised to notice that, even on a 6-core Core i7 8700 and fast nvme SSD, the built-in Photos.app stutters when opening/zooming the raws from my camera (Alpha 7 mk3). This even after the face recognition is over and CPU usage goes back to normal.
Is this something that a dedicated GPU would fix?
