Recommendations for SFF build?

I'm thinking about building a hackintosh for FinalCut Pro, Logic and software development work, and since space is at a premium I'm trying to make it as small as I can. In a ideal world I'd dual boot my main desktop, but since it's a Ryzen/Geforce 1070 build it's not going to work :(

I'm looking with interest at the Asrock DeskMini 310 since it's small and does not have WiFi embedded in the motherboard. Is this a good platform to build around? Tentative parts list is:

  • Core i7 8700 (non K since max TDB needs to be 65W or below)
  • 16GB DDR4 3200 (just got a 32GB kit for main desktop, would be reusing old RAM)
  • Samsung 970 Evo Plus (does it still have issues for hackintoshes after FW update?)

Which should crush the current Mac Mini and costs a grand less.

Would I miss a dedicated GPU for FCP? Is there any M2 BT/WiFi card that is supported in MacOS? How safe is the build from upgrades? I know major versions would require redoing the Kext/Clover config, but what about point releases/security updates?

Or would I be better off getting a Navi card when they come out next month, since finally AMD seems to have their shit together when it comes to performance per watt, and use my current Ryzen system (2700X/X470/Samsung 970 Evo non plus)? Would that lose me the hypervisor (and therefore no VirtualBox and Android emulator)?
