Disastrous Designare ’couldn’t allocate runtime...’ etc.

Hi guys,

Will try to keep this as brief as possible, had a lovely Vanilla High Sierra build working like clockwork for about a year. Use mostly for music stuff so Designare Thunderbolt tempted me to switch motherboards (from an Asus Prime Z370-P). In a world of pain now.

Done the actual physical switch of components and BIOS suggests it’s all hooked up as expected. The problem is I can’t get past step one in Hack Mojave installation!

I made a 10.14.5 USB, used latest version of Clover and have tried many EFI variations including starting from scratch myself, taking another Reddit user’s Designare EFI and another from elsewhere online, but everything is ending up with me stuck at the very first loading screen. Some times hanging there and sometimes the ‘stop sign’.

I have made all recommended BIOS changes (including flashing to latest - could this be a problem?).

One thing I should say - I cant imagine this is having any effect but my ‘old hack’ NVMe is on the motherboard, although not doing anything other than waiting for a fresh install.

Verbose mode giving me ‘couldn’t allocate runtime’ some times, other times pure mumbo jumbo.

Components are i7 8086K, Designare Z390, Radeon RX570. Got plenty of other PCI/peripherals but trying to just get it up and running with the bare minimum at the moment!

Cheers for any help 👍🏼
