Problem
So I just changed my motherboard from a GB z370 sli xp to a GB Z390 M Gaming and having an issue with ethernet connectivity in 10.14.4. I’ve been scouring tonyosx and hackintosher (don’t hate me please, I was frustrated and desperate after 2 weeks of playing with my config and kexts). Ive tried different usb keys with my minimal vanilla efi build and various pre-built efi’s from folks with similar motherboards and the results are always the same.
System Information detects the ethernet controller but fails to detect a cable is plugged in. It works fine in windows.
config
Macos 10.14.4 vanilla
GB-z390 M Gaming on F5 bios (F6 bios gave me kernal cache boot issues)
Vega 64 LC
GC Alpine Ridge TB3 card
Intelmausiethernet is the only networking kext in my kext folder. It was what I used on the previous z370 mobo.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. My plan is to
1: get this ethernet shyte figured out
2: use corps instructions/script for usb fixing
3: get down on getting tb3 to work
Thus far this ethernet speedbump has me completely stumped and asking here as a last ditch effort.
Help I’m looking for
Send me a link, a forum, anything with a clue on where to look next. Thanks!
