After wanting to tinker with Hackintoshing for a while now, I finally got my own PC to install it on, and while most everything works, I'm having a few issues. Mainly, Sleep/restart/shutdown are not working. When I trigger any of those commands, everything looks like it's closing out normally, and goes to a black screen, however, my PC's fans and lights are still running, and I am unable to wake it back up from sleep, nor does it reboot like it's supposed to. I have to manually press the reset button or hold the power button on my case to boot it up again.
Additionally, I have an extra monitor that I want to use in a dual monitor set-up, but the system seems to freeze whenever it's plugged in. The OS will actually boot and I can log in, but after a short while, it'll freeze and I have to reset the computer. I'm guessing it's related to Nvidia drivers, but haven't been able to find a solution. I am using a Dell S2716DG as my primary display via DisplayPort, and an LG 24MP59HT-P as a secondary display which only has HDMI ports. I've been leaving the LG unplugged for now and just using a single monitor until I can fix this.
I followed the vanilla guide in the sidebar to get it set up and did a lot of Googling to try and find solutions, but any suggestions I found either didn't make a difference or it actually made it worse by making the system not boot, so I had to revert back to my previous settings. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help! Otherwise, most everything else works including Wifi and sound.
