Hey all, Hackintosh newb here. I've been squeezing the last bit of life out of my early 2008 cheese grater and I think I'm finally due for an upgrade. I used to build gaming PCs when I was younger and love the idea of building my own Hackintosh for work.
"Charlie" (as it will be named) will only be used for music production+mixing in Pro Tools and Logic, and I won't be running anything too demanding graphics-wise. I do use a UAD PCIe card and Apollo as an audio interface. My brother has an old video editing rig he's willing to part with, so I'm hoping to save some money by using his PSU, GPU, and case. I listed those below in the PCPP table below.
I loosely based these parts from this build on tonymacx86. I read somewhere that the Gigabyte Titan Ridge is more stable than the EX3 so I went with that. Does anyone have any experience with it and the ASUS Z390-A? Should I just stick with the EX3?
Also, I'm planning on running High Sierra as long as possible, but in case I absolutely have to upgrade to Mojave, could I possibly just swap a new GPU later?
Many thanks for any help/suggestions!
