Can someone help me add Realtek ALC3861 audio codec to AppleALC.kext?

I'm trying to follow this but honestly I don't know what I'm really doing and it's tough to follow, for me at least.

It also seems slightly outdated cause it keeps referencing CodecLookup.plist but that doesn't exist anymore afaik.
