Hey folks. So I've had terrible luck over these past few months trying to Hackintosh my computer. I bought 3 different motherboards in a span of 3 months: my first Gigabyte H370N-WIFI came DOA and the second Gigabyte B360N-WIFI wouldn't make it past Verbose. This time I'm using an Asrock Z370M-ITX/ac, which based on people's previous successes in the community, seemed like a good choice for my rig.
And yet, somehow, even this motherboard doesn't like me. Specifically, I followed Corp's vanilla method, installed Clover and Mojave / HS on 2 different USB 2.0 sticks and I just can't get past BIOS. Here's a quick video replicating the problem. (I apologize for the screen glare)
This is my build:
- Intel i7-8700K 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor
- Noctua NH-L9i 33.84 CFM CPU Cooler
- ASRock Z370M-ITX/ac Mini ITX LGA1151
- Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB DDR4-3000 (2x8)
- Samsung 970 Evo 250 GB M.2-2280 SSD
- Samsung 860 Evo 1 TB 2.5" SSD
- Seagate BarraCuda Pro Compute 1 TB 2.5" 7200RPM
- Streacom F1CWS Evo HTPC Case
- Streacom Nano160 Fanless PSU (w/ adapter)
- Broadcom BCM94352Z
Is this a known issue? I searched far and wide for a similar problem with this specific motherboard / chipset but yielded no results. I'd really appreciate any suggestions or responses. I'd also be more than happy to share my EFI folder, but I doubt it's an EFI build issue, as the very same USB sticks worked fine on my previous Gigabyte B360N-WIFI. Thank you so much.
