I just realized that I can hold down my boot options key instead of mashing it like a madman

My god, I've had this board for over three years and since I dual boot a lot I always have to go to the boot disk menu (never bothered to setup Clover correctly for my other OS'). This means I've been banging on the F11 key as fast as I could the second my machine starts so I don't miss the menu. Little did I know, you can actually just press and hold and it works just fine
