My current gaming rig: Mobo: MSI X99A SLI PLUS CPU: i7-5820k (stock 3.3ghz) RAM: GSkill 64gb DDR4-2400 M.2 SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 500gb (Windows 10 boot - keeping this on the M.2 for eventual dual boot) SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 500gb (this will be wiped to be the MacOS boot drive) GPU: Gigabyte R9 390X 8gb Display: Three random ASUS and Acer 24" and 27" displays - I'll want all three working in Mac OS if at all possible
Given Mojave's new AMD GPU support, I'm confident that the GPU won't pose any major difficulties. However, the MSI mobo still appears to be difficult at best to get working. I haven't tried anything yet (I don't want to wipe the 850 until I'm sure this has a reasonable chance of working), but I want to gather a bit of info. Are there any reports so far of Mojave working on this motherboard? Anything else I should look out for with this setup? Is this setup even worth making an attempt on?
