Using a Nvidia Card

I'm extremely new to creating a Hackintosh, but I plan on making one in the next few days and just wanted to make sure I was set.

I've a GTX 970 and since I'm downloading Mojave, I've read that there's no support for nvidia just yet, but what I don't need the card? Can I just proceed without downloading and fixes? I'm just using macOS for coding purposes, so the need for a card like that wouldn't really be needed.
