Right now, I have a Geforce GTX 1060 running in my Hackintosh on High Sierra. I don't want to switch to AMD, as I have Windows installed on a separate hard drive in my machine, and I use it to play games on Steam. I prefer Nvidia cards, and as far as I am concerned, the 1060 currently fits my needs perfectly. On my macOS drive, I mostly use it for learning to use Xcode and program in Swift, so I have no real need for the power provided by the Nvidia card within macOS anyways. My question is, either by way of a clean install or an upgrade, if I started plugging my monitor directly into my motherboard when I booted up macOS, would I be able to leave the 1060 in my computer and use integrated graphics in a Mojave install? I have an Intel i5-6600 with HD Graphics 530. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
