USB Flash Drive Installer For High Sierra Hiccup

While attempting to create a USB drive installer for my second hackintosh build (the first was done with Multibeast. This one will be a vanilla set up), I hit an unusual snag.

In the terminal, after typing,

"sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app --volume /Volumes/Hackintosher/"

then hitting enter gives me the following error,

"/Applications/Install macOS High Sierra.app does not appear to be a valid OS installer application."

This has had me stumped all day. I have my copy of High Sierra installer in my Applications folder.

My thumb drive is formatted properly for the task (Scheme: GUID partition map, and Format: Mac OS Extended Journaled).

Am I just missing the obvious? (possibly...maybe.)

I know that the installer has to be a .dmg file, however when I download the installer from the App Store, it comes as a .app instead. Has anyone else had this problem?
