Trouble Booting Into Mojave When Using Clover Bootloader on HDD, But No Issues When Using Bootloader on USB

Hello,

I was able to successfully install macOS 10.14.2 on a z390 system using /u/cmer excellent guide. Post install, in an attempt to make the HDD on which Mojave was installed bootable I mounted the EFI partition of the HDD and copied over my EFI folder from the USB I used to install.

However, when I attempt to boot directly into the HDD I am able to get to the clover bootloader, but selecting to boot into my Mojave install results in a black screen.

When I boot into clover from my USB and select the Mojave install from here, I can boot in no problem.

This seems odd to me as I did a straight copy/paste of the USB EFI folder to the EFI partition on the HDD.

Any thoughts on what could be preventing the boot from the HDD?
