Should I switch which computer I use as a hackintosh

So I have 2 computers:

#1:

• i7-4790k
• MSI Z97m Gaming
• EVGA GTX 970
• Crucial 32gb

#2:

• i7-7820x
• MSI x299Raider
• Crucial 128gb
• GT 210

#1 has for years been my primary machine, and had previously run Yosemite and El Cap on it with (as far as I can recall) no issues. Trying to run High Sierra though, has been troublesome to say the least (and I don't have access to a 10.10/10.11 installer anymore). I'm thinking of swapping the GPUs and switching to #2 as my primary (currently it is a VE Pro server for music production), as I'm wondering whether the newer hardware will somehow be more compatible with macOS or not.

Does anyone have any commentary on whether one set of hardware will be easier to work with than the other?
