I have a hackintosh that's getting a bit old, and I would love some advice on a new build... I would also like to "downgrade" in size (of the case).

My uses are as follows:

  • Amateur Logic Pro X Music
  • Same, but for video
  • Windows disk for my steam (and now Epic Games) Library
  • Running server for Time Machine backups for other devices in my household.

Couple of questions: Is there a mini-itx build-friendly case with discrete GPU room that would be quiet and small enough to fit on a desk that also might look svelte and could have room for a full 2tb HDD to go inside (as well as two SSDs... might be asking too much)?

Secondly, after perusing this reddit for the first time in ages, it seems the new wisdom is AMD graphics + Intel processor is the most "future-proof" for hackintoshing right now. Is this the case?

Finally, on my current setup is using Uni-Multi and made using the "guide that shall not be named." I am pretty savvy in Linux and terminal, etc. Is there an equally robust and easy way to get started in the "vanilla" clover setup? How update-able is such a setup both with official Apple updates as well as updating clover itself?

Cheers.
