Pretty sure I'm going to get the 2nd gen Xiaomi Notebook Air with the i5 as my next laptop and run macOS on it. Everything seems to be compatible/functional enough from reading up about it but what's worrying me is the state of the Samsung PM981 on mac.
Apparently only some models will have this SSD, but I'm not sure whether by the time I buy the laptop if it will have a happy drive or not.
From what I've heard you can run an older IONvme.kext or something and have it work stable but slower? Is this still true on HS/Mojave? If that's the case I wouldn't mind the performance hit if I can save on buying another SSD entirely.
